Technology Services

Overview
Technology Services provides support to our component school districts that are running on server-based, stand-alone distributed microcomputer systems. For a detailed list of the support we offer and our services, please refer to our Service Directory.

History
Technology Services started in 1965 using batch processing. In 1976, an IBM 360 mainframe computer was purchased. This allowed online processing from each school district's central office through the use of IBM 3270 terminals. The Microcomputer Support Department was established in 1981 with two staff members.

In 1999, the mainframe was eliminated in favor of a distributed system, increasing the use of LAN/WAN and PC/Mac technician support. The number of microcomputers in our districts has grown from six in 1985 to the thousands that are in use today.

Today
Currently, Technology Services employs over 130 staff members.

The staff of Technology Services invite you to visit our location at any time to view our support facility and discuss, in more detail, the services available to you.

Technology Services and its associated services exist through the cooperative efforts and funding of our school district customers. We encourage you to participate in the planning and advisory functions which allow those services to be a continued reflection of your needs.
